GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

FOR CLEANING SERVICES

These General Terms & Conditions apply to cleaning services booked with JDF CLEANING CO.

Your confirmed quote or booking, agreed scope of work and any applicable service-specific conditions together form your service agreement with JDF CLEANING CO.

Where a service-specific condition expressly differs from these General Terms & Conditions, the service-specific condition applies to that service to the extent of the difference.

1. Pricing & Agreed Scope

Your service price is based on the service booked and the agreed scope of work.

Where a service is provided at a fixed price, the price is for completion of the agreed scope rather than a specified number of cleaning hours.

Changes to the property, cleaning requirements, service frequency or agreed scope may result in a price adjustment. Any applicable adjustment will be communicated before proceeding with the changed scope.

2. Estimated Cleaning Duration

Any cleaning duration provided or displayed by JDF CLEANING CO. is an estimate only.

Actual cleaning time may be more or less depending on the property, its condition, accessibility, cleaning requirements, cleaning team assigned and work reasonably required to complete the agreed scope.

A variation in cleaning duration does not by itself change an agreed fixed service price.

3. Additional Services & Add-Ons

Additional, periodic or detailed cleaning tasks are not included unless specifically stated in your agreed scope. Additional services may incur an additional charge and may need to be scheduled as a separate appointment. Please request additional work before your scheduled service so we can confirm availability, pricing and sufficient time.

4. Property Information & Condition

Quotes and fixed prices are based on the information reasonably available to JDF CLEANING CO. when the service is quoted or booked.

Please provide accurate information about the size, layout, condition and cleaning requirements of the property and advise us of anything that may materially affect the work required.

If the property or cleaning requirements are materially different from the information provided, we may discuss a revised scope, price or service arrangement with you before proceeding with affected work.

Where additional work cannot reasonably be accommodated within the booking, it may need to be excluded or scheduled separately.

5. Payment & Accounts

JDF CLEANING CO. accepts:

• Invoice

• Cash

• Credit card

• Bank transfer - preferred

Credit card payments are currently accepted without an additional customer surcharge. JDF CLEANING CO. absorbs the applicable processing fees.

Accounts in Advance

We ask that ongoing customer accounts are kept one service in advance.

This means payment for your next scheduled service should be received before that service takes place.

If an account falls behind, JDF CLEANING CO. may place upcoming services on hold until the account is brought back into advance.

Invoices, payment requests and other amounts owing must be paid by the stated due date.

Any applicable cancellation, access or other outstanding fees may also need to be paid before further services are provided.

Where a prepaid booking is cancelled, rescheduled or changed, any applicable credit, refund or cancellation fee will be handled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and Australian Consumer Law.

6. Products & Equipment

JDF CLEANING CO. supplies the standard cleaning products and equipment reasonably required to complete your agreed cleaning service.

Standard products and equipment are included in your service price unless otherwise stated. If you require particular products to be used, please advise us before your service.

Customer-supplied products or equipment will only be used where agreed and where we consider them reasonably suitable and safe for the intended task.

7. Customer Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking.

Cancellation or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a $65 late cancellation fee. Cancellation or rescheduling with less than 8 hours' notice may incur the full service charge. Further bookings may be placed on hold until outstanding fees have been paid.

8. Cancellation or Rescheduling by JDF CLEANING CO.

While we will make every reasonable effort to attend your booking as scheduled, circumstances may occasionally require JDF CLEANING CO. to cancel or reschedule a service.

If JDF CLEANING CO. cancels or requests to reschedule your booking with less than 48 hours' notice, a $65 service credit will be applied to your account.

This mirrors the $65 late cancellation fee that may apply when a customer cancels or reschedules with less than 48 hours' notice.

The service credit may be applied toward a future JDF CLEANING CO. service and is not redeemable for cash.

Where cancellation or rescheduling is necessary due to circumstances outside JDF CLEANING CO.'s reasonable control, including severe weather, emergencies, unsafe conditions or other circumstances that make providing the service unsafe or impracticable, the service credit may not apply.

This policy does not limit any consumer guarantee, refund, compensation or other right or remedy available under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Property Access

Customers are responsible for ensuring reasonable and safe access to the property at the agreed service time. If our cleaner or cleaning team is unable to access the property on arrival, the full service charge may apply.

Please provide any necessary access instructions, keys, codes, parking information or other relevant information before the service.

10. Parking & Access Costs

Please advise JDF CLEANING CO. before booking if paid parking, restricted parking, difficult building access, security procedures or other access arrangements apply.

Where reasonable parking or access costs are necessary to provide the service and have been disclosed or agreed, these may be added to the service price.

11. Utilities

Where reasonably required to perform the booked service, the property must have safe and functioning access to electricity, running water and other utilities necessary to complete the agreed work.

If required utilities are unavailable and this prevents us from reasonably completing all or part of the service, affected work may be unable to be completed or may need to be rescheduled.

12. Keys & Property Security

Any keys, access codes or property access information provided to JDF CLEANING CO. will be used only as reasonably required to provide your service.

Please notify us promptly if access arrangements change.

Where keys are provided, suitable arrangements should be made for their collection, return or ongoing authorised use.

13. Preparing for Your Cleaning Service

You do not need to clean before we arrive.

Reasonable preparation, however, allows us to concentrate on the cleaning included in your service. Where practical, please:

• Pick up excessive loose items, clothing and personal belongings

• Keep floors and cleaning areas reasonably accessible

• Ensure agreed surfaces and areas can be accessed

• Advise us of fragile, valuable or particularly delicate items

• Provide relevant property and access information before the service

Where excessive clutter or inaccessible areas prevent us from safely or reasonably completing part of the agreed scope, those areas may be skipped or the scope may need to be adjusted.

14. Pets

Pets are welcome, but customers are responsible for ensuring pets can be safely managed while cleaning is taking place. Please tell us about pets that will be present and advise us of any relevant access or safety requirements.

Where necessary for the safety of the cleaner, subcontractor or animal, we may ask that a pet be secured in an appropriate area while cleaning is completed.

JDF CLEANING CO. may decline to enter or continue working where an animal presents a reasonable safety risk.

15. Safety & Right to Refuse or Stop Work

JDF CLEANING CO. and its cleaners are not required to undertake work that presents an unreasonable health or safety risk or falls materially outside the booked service.

This may include unsafe access, aggressive animals, hazardous substances, excessive biological waste, unsafe electrical conditions, dangerous structures, undisclosed hazards or other unsafe circumstances.

Where reasonably possible, we will discuss the issue with you and determine whether the service can safely continue, be modified or be rescheduled.

16. Unable to Complete the Agreed Scope

Occasionally circumstances at the property may prevent completion of part or all of the agreed scope.

Where reasonably possible, we will prioritise the agreed cleaning work and advise you of any significant issue affecting completion.

Work may be excluded, modified or rescheduled where it cannot reasonably or safely be completed due to property condition, lack of access, unavailable utilities, excessive clutter, safety concerns or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

17. Breakages, Damage & Pre-Existing Conditions

Our cleaners are expected to take reasonable care while working in your property.

Please notify JDF CLEANING CO. as soon as reasonably possible if you believe damage has occurred during your cleaning service and provide relevant information or photographs where available.

We may need to inspect the item or area and discuss the circumstances with the cleaner or cleaning team before determining an appropriate response.

Please advise us before cleaning of particularly fragile, unstable, valuable or previously damaged items or surfaces.

JDF CLEANING CO. is not responsible for deterioration or damage resulting from pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, defective or unstable items, improperly installed fixtures or surfaces that cannot reasonably withstand normal cleaning.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Subcontractors & Cleaning Teams

JDF CLEANING CO. may use approved subcontractors to perform all or part of your cleaning service.

Subcontractors engaged by JDF CLEANING CO. are required to meet our applicable business, safety and service requirements and perform the agreed cleaning scope to JDF CLEANING CO. standards.

Your booking and service agreement remain with JDF CLEANING CO.

We are responsible for allocating the cleaning team, managing the agreed scope of work and addressing service-related concerns.

The cleaner or cleaning team assigned to your booking may vary depending on availability and operational requirements.

19. Re-Cleans & Quality Concerns

If you believe an area included in your agreed cleaning scope has been missed or has not been completed to a reasonable standard, please contact JDF CLEANING CO. within 24 hours of the service, preferably with photos of the area concerned.

Where we determine that an included area has been missed or reasonably requires correction, we will arrange a reasonable re-clean of the affected area at no additional charge.

Re-cleans apply only to work included in the original agreed scope.

They do not include additional cleaning requests, excluded areas or services, pre-existing damage, permanent staining, deterioration, mould or other conditions that cannot reasonably be resolved through the booked cleaning service.

Please allow JDF CLEANING CO. a reasonable opportunity to inspect or rectify a genuine service issue before arranging another cleaner or seeking compensation.

Service-specific re-clean conditions may apply to particular services, including Bond Cleaning.

20. Changes to Recurring Services

Where you have a recurring cleaning arrangement, the agreed price and scope may be based partly on your cleaning frequency.

If your frequency changes, your fixed service price may be recalculated.

Changes to the property, household usage, areas requiring cleaning or requested tasks may also require the scope and fixed price to be reviewed.

Any revised price will be confirmed before the changed service proceeds.

21. Ending a Recurring Service

You may end an ongoing cleaning arrangement without a termination fee.

The normal cancellation policy continues to apply to any service already scheduled within the applicable cancellation period.

JDF CLEANING CO. may discontinue an ongoing service arrangement where reasonably necessary, including where services are repeatedly unpaid, safe access cannot be provided, agreed booking conditions are repeatedly not met or the service is no longer operationally suitable.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before discontinuing an ongoing service.

22. Weekend & Public Holiday Surcharges

JDF CLEANING CO. applies additional charges to services scheduled on weekends and public holidays to reflect increased operating and labour costs.

The following surcharges apply to the standard agreed service price:

• Saturday: 25% surcharge

• Sunday: 50% surcharge

• Public holidays: 100% surcharge

Only one surcharge will apply to a booking. Where a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Public Holiday Surcharge will apply instead of the weekend surcharge. Surcharges are not combined or compounded.

Any applicable surcharge will be included in the booking price and/or invoice.

23. Privacy & Customer Information

JDF CLEANING CO. collects and uses personal information reasonably necessary to quote, book, communicate about and provide cleaning services, process payments, administer customer accounts, manage access arrangements and address service or quality concerns.

This information may include your name, contact details, property address, access instructions, service history and photographs or other information you provide in connection with your service.

We will take reasonable steps to handle customer information appropriately and limit access to people who reasonably require it for the operation or delivery of your service.

We may disclose relevant information to approved cleaners, subcontractors or service providers where reasonably necessary to provide or administer your service.

Customer information will not be sold to third parties.

Information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law. If you have a question about information held by JDF CLEANING CO., please contact us.

24. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or concern about your booking, invoice, cancellation, property damage, cleaner conduct or another aspect of your service, please contact JDF CLEANING CO. as soon as reasonably possible so we have an opportunity to review the matter.

We may ask for relevant information, photographs or other details to help us understand and investigate the concern. We will make reasonable efforts to respond to and resolve complaints directly and fairly.

This general complaints process is separate from the 24-hour notification process for cleaning quality concerns and re cleans in Section 19.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any rights under Australian Consumer Law or raising a matter with an appropriate external body.

25. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
