How much does Move-In Cleaning cost?
Move-In Cleaning uses fixed pricing based on the size of your property and agreed cleaning scope.
Fixed pricing starts from $175 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home.
Your exact fixed price is confirmed before booking and may be adjusted for optional add-ons, additional areas, unusually extensive storage or other non-standard requirements.
Is the price based on how many hours you clean?
No.
JDF uses fixed pricing based on your agreed cleaning scope.
The duration allocated to your appointment is used for scheduling. The actual time required can vary, particularly when a cleaning team attends.
Your agreed fixed price doesn't change simply because the service is completed faster or takes longer than the scheduled duration.
Do I need to supply cleaning products or equipment?
No.
JDF supplies the cleaning products and equipment required for your booked service.
If you would prefer us to use a particular product in your new home, please discuss this with us before your service.
Do I need to be at the property during the clean?
No.
You can be present, or we can arrange an agreed method of access.
Please make sure we can access the property and all areas included in your cleaning scope at the scheduled time.
If there are keys, gates, building access requirements, parking restrictions, security procedures or other access instructions, please provide these before your service.
How should I prepare for my Move-In Clean?
For the best access:
• Have the property empty or mostly empty where possible
• Empty cupboards, drawers and wardrobes that require internal cleaning
• Remove personal belongings from areas being cleaned
• Make sure electricity and water are available
• Make sure we can access all agreed areas
• Provide any building, parking or security instructions beforehand
• Let us know about anything unusual that may affect the clean
There's no need to clean the property yourself before we arrive.
What if I want to add something after I've booked?
Please contact us as early as possible.
Additional tasks may require extra cleaning capacity and an adjustment to your fixed price. We can't guarantee that additional work requested on the day can be completed within the existing booking.
What if the property is much dirtier than expected?
Please give us an accurate description of the property's condition when requesting your quote.
Significant build-up, excessive grease, mould, unusually extensive cabinetry, substantial wall cleaning or other non-standard conditions can materially change the cleaning required.
If the property is materially different from the information used to prepare your quote, we'll discuss the available options with you before completing work outside the agreed scope.
What's the difference between Move-In Cleaning and Springclean?
Move-In Cleaning is specifically designed for an empty or mostly empty home before you move in. It includes ordinary quantities of accessible empty internal cupboards, drawers, wardrobes and storage as part of the standard service.
Springclean is a detailed reset for an occupied or furnished home and has a different standard scope.
We'll recommend the service that best matches the condition of the property and what you need cleaned.
Is Move-In Cleaning the same as Bond Cleaning?
No.
Move-In Cleaning prepares a home for the person moving in.
Bond Cleaning is designed for a vacated property being cleaned at the end of a tenancy and has a more extensive inspection-focused standard scope, including tasks that aren't automatically included in Move-In Cleaning.
Can I book Regular Home Cleaning after I move in?
Yes.
Once you've settled into your home, Regular Home Cleaning can be arranged weekly, fortnightly or every 4 weeks to help keep it consistently fresh, clean and comfortable.
